Took it to an agent and was told the surround back right channel power amp and voltage amp boards failed. Called Amber Technologies Australia and got some service agents number. In the same year the 5 year warranty expired, the unit one day just switched off and went into protection mode.

I've tried to escalate, but everyone points to "waiting on Onkyo". I tried contacting Onkyo: they have not replied to me either. I chase this with the service centre and am told "we are still waiting for Onkyo to reply". They reported this to Onkyo for authorisation of repair/replacement.Īnd Onkyo haven't replied.

They collected the item free of charge, and tested it, and found a fault. They advised me to contact one of their 3 listed UK service centres, who I must say were excellent up front. They do not have a UK customer service centre, channelling everything through Germany. I contacted the point of purchase who said "contact Onkyo". It developed a fault 8 months after purchase. Fine until it breaks - then you'll never see it
